Gracious Word: Acatalepsy

5/20/2014

Acatalepsy
Word every Gracious Individual should know: Acatalepsy

Definition: Acatalepsy (pronounced: a-‘cat-a-lep-sE); Greek; noun
1. The impossibility of comprehending the universe; the belief that human knowledge can never have true certainty.

Why I love this word:
Can one truly know the power of the mind and the universe? These are the kinds of thoughts that pass through my mind. I think about the probability of our thoughts and never the certainty. I am incapable of conceiving infinity, and yet I do not accept finity. I want this adventure that is the context of my life to go on without end.
