Gracious Word: Acquiesce

2/15/2014

Acquiesce
Word every Gracious Individual should know: Acquiesce

Definition: Acquiesce; (Pronounced: akwēˈes); Latin; verb
1. Accept something reluctantly but without protest.

Why I love this word:
This word makes me smile because there have been times where I would much rather stay home and be hidden away in my room typing away at my laptop but my mom will need help with something. And 99.9% of the time it's chores I honestly have no interest in completing, but I do them anyway, with no complaining or protest. And it makes me smile because I love that people are willing to make sacrifices to help each other out, no matter how small the task or sacrifice is.
