Definition: Brumous; (pronounced: BROOM-us) adjective.
1. Of grey skies and winter days; filled with heavy clouds or fog; relating to winter or cold, sunless weather
Why I love this word:
Cold weather is my favorite kind of weather.
Fall and especially winter are my favorite times of year. I love it when the air gets crisp and you feel the chill on your skin. I love the days when the clouds are heavy and dark and the colors of the city around me seem to be a little brighter against the grey skies. I especially love the rain. But living in Southern California, you don't get very much of any of these things even in the depths of the winter months. But today, it rains. So take advantage of the rare brumous days, soak them in and enjoy them while you can.
