Word every Gracious Individual should know: Edification
Definition: Edification; Latin; noun
1. The instruction or improvement of a person morally or intellectually
Why I love this word:
The entire purpose of writing gracious words of the day is for our own edification. The more you know, the better. Constantly strive to grow and learn for your own edification. But we practice expanding our vocabulary for our own intellectual well-being, not to be pedantic or ostentatious. "You can never be overeducated or overdressed." --Oscar Wilde
