Definition: Insatiable; (Pronounced: inˈsāSHəbəl); Latin; adjective
1. Incapable of being satisfied
Why I love this word:
My mom says this to me a lot; that I am never satisfied. This isn't always true, but I could see where she is coming from. To begin, I am very hard to please. Secondly, whenever I accomplish something great or exciting, I spend (to her standards) very little time celebrating and I quickly move on to the next venture. However, I don't see this as a bad thing. Sure celebrate your successes, but don't dwell on them. Keep working hard to continue to achieve more. And besides, I think it's a good thing that I have extraordinarily high standards.
If you have high standards too, don't ever let anyone tell you to lower them. Because people or events, if they are worth it, will rise up to meet them.
