Definition: Nemesism (pronounced: ne-me-‘siz-m); Greek; noun
1. Frustration, anger, or aggression directed inward, toward oneself and one's way of living.
Why I love this word:
How many of us put too much pressure on ourselves? In addition to all the struggles we are faced with from the rest of the world, we add more to our own lives. We sometimes feel we aren't good enough, aren't doing enough, aren't doing good enough. We are always our own worst critics, but can you blame us? We see the potential we are capable of being, but when we see our reflection in the mirror and our expectations don't match our reality, we beat ourselves up for it. Don't give up on continuously trying to be the best version of yourself, but during this process, don't forget to be kind to yourself.
