Gracious Word: Orenda

6/5/2014

Orenda
Word every Gracious Individual should know: Orenda

Definition: Orenda (pronounced: ne-me-‘siz-m); Iroquoian; noun
1. A mystical force present in all people that empowers them to affect the world, or to effect change in their own lives.

Why I love this word:
How beautifully powerful is this word? We all want to be remembered, to make a dent in the universe. To make ourselves feel empowered and make the people around us feel just as important. The world is filled with so many beautiful people, opportunities, chances, and life beyond what we could imagine. Go out and live it.
