Gracious Word: Quippy

1/23/2014

Quippy
Word every Gracious Individual should know: Quippy

Definition: Quippy; adjective
1. A clever, witty remark often prompted by the occasion.

Why I love this word:
This word was simply appropriate for the kind of day the Gracious Lady has been having today. She seems to be on fire with her witty remarks and it is winning herself quite a few favors. To be quippy is to make a cutting remark, but of course to remain gracious. You must find the appropriate way of speaking up and saying the proper words for the situation and still getting your point across. Everyday, the more involved I get with the world around me, I learn more about the politics of talking to other individuals. It's a hard thing to master, but I am surely learning what to say, when to say it and most importantly how.
