Word every Gracious Individual should know: Scripturient
Definition: Scripturient (pronounced: skrip-‘tUr-E-ent); English; adj
1. Having a consuming passion to write.
Why I love this word:
The question we writers get most often is: why do we write? The answers are usually synonymous, no matter how many different writers you ask. We all write for the same reason: because we simply can't imagine spending our days in any other way. We write because we have an innate need to write. We write because we are able to answer our thoughts, our issues, our struggles all through our writing. We write because that's the only way we are able to partake in real life; it's by writing it ourselves.
