Word every Gracious Individual should know: Soporific
Definition: Soporific (pronounced säpəˈrifik); adjective
1. Tending to incude drowsiness or sleep.
Why I love this word:
Something that is soporific is sleep-inducing. Certain medicines, but also extreme coziness, can have a soporific effect. One may feel soporific after eating too much and being contently full, or one may also feel soporific laying curled up in bed with a loved one. Even if it's Sunday morning and you just had a whole night of sleep. The feeling of being cozy, warm, and loved that will keep you in bed all day.
