Gracious Word: Delitescent

1/6/2014

Delitescent
Word every Gracious Individual should know: Delitescent

Definition: Delitescent; (Pronounced: del-i-TES-uhnt) Latin; adj
1. Concealed; hidden; latent.

Why I love this word:
This word means to hide away, not revealing everything you know. The way I look at it, this is the formula for success. People feed off of others, there are a lot of people who can't think for themselves and so they need to copy how others live their lives. It is easier to be copied and taken advantage of when you are an open book. Keeping things to yourself adds a sense of mystery. People begin to wonder how you do it, there is this aura of awe around you. And I think the less that is revealed, the more beautiful you are.
