Gracious Word: Dilatory

2/2/2014

Dilatory
Word every Gracious Individual should know: Dilatory

Definition: Dilatory; (Pronounced: diləˌtôrē); Latin; adjective
1. Inclined to put off what ought to be done at once

Why I love this word:
Procrastination. We have all met her. She isn't our greatest friend, and we shouldn't let her be. You tend to postpone things and then you find that they never get done, or at least not done properly. Focus on what you want to get done and make sure these things get crossed off your list in time. My uncle once told me, 'the things that need to be done today, should have been done yesterday.'
