Definition: Placate (pronounced: plak-eyt); Latin; verb
1. To lessen someone's anger or hard feelings.
Why I love this word:
Sometimes in life we come across people who are not pleasant. They are mean to us, aren't afraid to express their anger and enjoy putting us down. As a gracious lady, we do not stoop down to their level. Instead we rise above the unladylike behavior and treat everyone how we would like to be treated, even though they might not deserve it at that moment. It's important to always be kind and help the other person lessen their anger. Always kill them with kindness.
