Gracious Word:Whelve

6/15/2014

whelve
Word every Gracious Individual should know: Whelve

Definition: Whelve (pronounced: 'welv); Old English; verb
1. To bury something deep; to hide.

Why I love this word:
We all have scars. Every person you pass on the street has a story. They have gone through immense happiness, they have gone through immense pain. Some stories they share, some stories they hide. Some memories make it difficult to continue through life, so you burry them deep to simply go on with your days. What we see is never the whole story, and there is so much more to a person than one defining event. Look deeper, or learn to appreciate and respect when some people simply want to cover their scars.
